Schools got a front yard 🌳
Updates seem to be arriving at about the same pace as residents come up with new things to complain about. This time it's the schools' turn.
Schools finally look like real campuses and now they have their own yard out front.
What changed
- The high school is now a big 3×4 campus: two red-brick wings (a 3-storey classroom wing + a tall gym), a glass entrance lobby with clock towers in the middle, a canopy, steps and the Finnish flag – and IN FRONT of them, a dedicated yard row where the entrance, steps and flagpole open up. A pretty fine spot to spend recess staring at your phone.
- The comprehensive school grew to 2×3: the same familiar school building, but now with its own yard in front – finally a place to learn life's most important skills, like queuing and running in circles.
What happens to old schools?
Schools and high schools expanded in place where there was room. If a yard didn't fit alongside, the old school was flattened without much ceremony – you'll get a notice, and probably a couple of pointed messages in the suggestion box. Build a new one in a free spot and the pupils will find their way back to the books.
